My passion for Open Source Technologies started more than a decade ago when I was introduced to Linux while I was completing my Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. I started my career in Software Development using Java and eventually moved into System Administration where we have implemented various Open Source Solutions such as Email Systems, Asterisk (VoIP) to Enterprise Open Source Solutions using Red Hat to reputable organizations in the Philippines and overseas.
I have been a Red Hat Certified Instructor since 2007 and then became and Red Hat Certified Examiner. I have been conducting Red Hat Training for Red Hat across the country as well as the region. Apart from it, I have become Cisco Certified System Instructor and have occasionally conducted ITIL Course. Being an instructor did give me a lot of experience for public speaking in schools, weddings and other extra-curricular activities.
As a Technology Manager, I look at our customers, the market trends and the current available technology and see what can solve enterprise challenges today. I also work together with principals on both business and technical to see if they can address the customer challenges of today. One major customer I have handled managed to piece together Enterprise Open Source Technology to run its Core Banking System.
I am involved in a lot of digital transformation initiative and particularly in the practice and discipline of dev-ops. The toolchains that are available for this to be successfully implemented. I'm also doing some article writings which I post from time to time in linked platform.
