Paul W. Shoemaker is a Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Senior Portfolio Management Director, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Global Sports & Entertainment Director with Morgan Stanley. He is a senior partner in the Paulson/Shoemaker Group at Morgan Stanley. As of August 2021, the Paulson/Shoemaker Group manages $1.3 billion in client assets for a limited number of wealthy families, professional athletes, business owners and corporate clients. From 2018-2021, Paul has been a member of the firms prestigious Masters Club which is an elite group composed of the firms top Financial Advisors. From 2019 to 2021, Paul has been named to Forbes Magazines list of Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in the state of Utah. As a Morgan Stanley Senior Portfolio Management Director, Paul is part of a select group of Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors who are qualified by the firmbased on training, experience and commitmentto make investment decisions on client's behalf and independently manage their assets. Paul is also part of Morgan Stanley's Global Sports & Entertainment division which is a highly specialized wealth management division, dedicated to serving the unique and complex needs of athletes, entertainers, creators and top professionals in the sports and entertainment industry. He is originally from Longmont, Colorado and received his bachelors degree in finance from Brigham Young University where, as a quarterback for the football team, he was a scholar athlete. After graduation in 1998, Paul joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor and built a successful financial advisory practice. During his time there, he also served as a sales manager for the regional complex of branches. In 2012, he transitioned his practice to Morgan Stanley and became the manager of the Salt Lake City office. While he enjoys the challenge of management, his position also benefits his investment clients. He is able to use his extensive knowledge of behind the scenes operations and senior level contacts in the firm to quickly and efficiently solve client problems and gain access to new technology. Paul and his wife Katie have five children, two daughter-in-laws and live in the greater Salt Lake City area. He is President of the Salt Lake chapter of the Cougar Club for Brigham Young University athletic supporters and is active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
