I bring 30 years of industry experience to the True North Investment Group. I joined RBC Wealth Management in 2001 and formed the Strehlow Enright Group with Ross Strehlow in 2007, which transformed into the True North Investment Group when Ross retired in 2018. Over the years, my partners and I refined the contrarian investment process that we use today. Within the True North team, I'm the big-picture planner and risk manager. I'm the person you call if you're looking to retire and need to convert your wealth to income. I'm a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) professional, a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), and a Retirement Management Analyst (RMA). These designations demonstrate my advanced knowledge of wealth management and retirement income issues. My areas of expertise include retirement income strategies, strategic portfolio management, risk management, and wealth transfer strategies. I'm also a frequent speaker on retirement income and Social Security claiming strategies. A proud native Minnesotan, I earned my BA from the University of Minnesota and my MBA from the University of St. Thomas. I live in Stillwater with my wife, Shannon, and we have three children. When not working, I'm usually on a bike or skis, and I've completed numerous triathlons, including an Ironman triathlon. My volunteer activities include Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest, and the SIFMA Foundation's InvestWrite program. RBC Wealth Management has recognized my efforts, naming me to the firm's Chairman's Council, and I'm also a member of the firm's Senior Consulting Group and several leadership groups.
