I am a physicist and a teacher at heart. I am passionate about contextualizing science content so that what is being learned is grounded in relevancy and universally accessible for all learners. This is the basis of STEM, STEAM, and STSE education. As a member of the scientific and educational communities, and as a female science/physics educator, it is my part of my role and responsibility to break down the stereotypes, removing the self-imposed barriers and make these subjects relevant, by doing so, we will create a shift in perception of these subject areas allowing ALL to find success and thereby increasing the public's understanding of science, technology, and innovation.
