As investment products and services become increasingly more complex, the need for professional advice and guidance has never been greater. With more than 24 years of experience in the financial services industry, I've learned that everyone shares common concerns-whether it's accumulating wealth, generating income in retirement, funding a child's education or transferring wealth-but no two situations are alike. It's my belief that effective wealth management should begin with the formation of a complete picture of what's important to clients. I don't just scratch the surface, I dig deeply to find out why people think the way they think and why they act the way they act. I seek to understand their investment personality, mindset and comfort with various market risks. Going beyond balance sheets and financial statements, my goal is to uncover the history and personality traits that make them who they are. What are their goals, priorities, values and fears? What is the purpose of their investments and what are the emotions behind those goals? Although these conversations often times lead me in different directions, they always give me insight and perspective on a client's history and their beliefs about money. The end result is a strong client-advisor relationship, built upon a foundation of the right communication. Once I look at all of the moving parts of a client's financial life and understand who he or she is and what they're looking to achieve, I then help them prioritize the importance of their goals. My personalized approach means I take the time to truly appreciate what clients are trying to achieve and to assist them in making their goals a reality. This enables me to develop wealth management strategies customized to their unique set of goals and concerns; designed to help them pursue the financial future they envision. My ultimate goal is to help clients live their lives the way they choose. Managing their wealth is simply a means to that end.
