I am a graduate of Manchester School of Art in Graphic Design. In the most simplest sense, I work with type and image, creating designs that guide how we see and experience information around us, to effectively communicate ideas, and present them creatively.
I am aware that graphic design is a collaborative process, in which different ideas have a chance to come together, and where people work as one unit. I understand my function as a part of a team to be able to follow, to listen intently, and to do what is expected of me. In situations that demand rising to the occasion, I can be depended on to be able to lead if needed, to adapt and work under pressure.
More than anything, I appreciate the value of learning. Acquiring new knowledge to continually improve myself, and thus benefit my work. I have the willingness to learn and embrace new concepts with an open mind. Recognising that there is still much to be discovered will help me grow as a better designer. More durable and versatile.
I chose to be a graphic designer because of the opportunity to make an impact on the world around me. Creating intelligent and responsible designs that engage people to communicate and respond to influence them positively.
