SARSEF is an amazing organization focused on providing STEM education for ALL PreK-12th grade students across the state of Arizona through critical thinking and problem solving. We offer free programs and events for students, parents, and community partners while providing professional development for teachers to ensure sustainable success in the classroom. By including rural areas, tribal nations, and Title I schools we progress towards our goal of educational equity and diversity for all children.
I currently serve on the Pima County Suicide Prevention Task Force, Board of Directors for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Arizona Chapter, and Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits Public Policy Council. There is a great deal of joy to be had in everything you do if you learn to appreciate the small kindnesses that so often go unnoticed. I have a proven track record in financials and fundraising, with success on both small & large scale. Since the day I became a suicide loss survivor I have become an advocate for awareness, a driving force in my community, and a spirited team builder. I fuel the fire when it grows dim.
