My primary focus is working with those in the technology industry. Most in the industry spend the majority of their time identifying world challenges then dedicate long hours using technological tools and collaborating within tight and demanding deadlines to solve critical problems for us. Yet, we often take for granted how they make our lives easier and tasks faster. Despite being intelligent and capable, their demanding schedules dont often leave the time to properly invest their hard earned money, take advantage of tax savings, and appropriately diversify for the future. I have felt the pressure first hand and know how demanding it can be to meet deadlines while delivering technology innovations without time to stay on top of my retirement plan or other investments, even if understanding them, but lack the time it deserves to implement a strategy to grow and track a nest egg to reach my financial goals. While working with the technology industry and saving for retirement, I had insights about the financial services industry. Organizations who didnt plan and upgrade technology fell behind. Similarly, many of the retirement offerings become outdated since they are a set-and-forget, one-size-fits-all-vehicle, based on a retirement age without knowing the individual or considering course corrections. At Edward Jones we provide quality investments, long term, yet nimble strategies to allow for course corrections as you or the market changes with a personal advisor in touch with your situation to keep you on track throughout changes in their life, instead an 800 number and a random attendant. My wife, Shannon and I have six kids. We started our busy young lives in Texas and Maryland while serving in the Army with our growing family. After leaving the service, I worked for a small startup where we were either trying to raise capital, sell software, or sell our company then eventually transitioned to consulting large client organizations.
