Since joining RBC Wealth Management in 1997, I have developed many relationships with clients who have entrusted me with high levels of responsibility. I hold the General Securities, Investment Advisor Representative, life and variable annuity insurance licenses. My education began at the University of San Francisco where I earned a BFA degree. After I began my wealth management career, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation, the training for which allows me to provide recommendations for all aspects of your financial life. This includes solutions for complex issues such as estate planning, retirement planning, insurance and portfolio planning. I work with your attorney and tax professional to address some of these issues. My investment philosophy is client driven and focused. I strive to create investment "blueprints" that encompass individual goals rather than "textbook" solutions. Continuing education in our trade is vital to staying abreast of innovations, service and product changes. The most important component of the wealth management planning process is YOU. I prioritize taking time to investigate and understand your individual needs, goals, and risk tolorances before developing and proposing an individual investment strategy, and strive to educate you, about the varying facets of your investment plan. Consistent and ongoing communication between us is critical to this process. Like most residents of Boulder, I enjoy most outdoor activities, including downhill skiing, running and triathlons. I started competing in triathlons in 1986 and marathons in 1995. Since then I've competed in many races including Boston Marathon, New York Marathon, Pike's Peak Marathon and qualified for and competed in the Hawaiian Ironman World Championships. In addition to those races I've competed in several other half Ironman's, marathons, trail runs, etc. over the years. While living in Minnesota I was intricately involved directing and running the Turtleman Triathlon. During the seven years I served as race director, we raised over $120,000 for local charities. Other non profits I've worked with is the Boulder Community Foundation where I was the president of the finance committee and I was the president of our HOA for 10 years.
