David began his financial services career in 1998 as a brokerage representative and trader for Fidelity Investments. The following year, he became a financial advisor for Paine Webber in Charlotte. In 2009, David joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management and today he continues to help clients pursue their financial goals and objectives. In addition to his responsibilities for business development and client acquisition, David focuses on working with clients who are preparing for or already in retirement, as well as retirement plans for businesses. He helps clients build sustainable lifetime income streams and risk management strategies. David holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation. David commits significant time and resources getting to know clients and their families. He has found that listening to clients is the first step in a disciplined process designed to help provide them with a contact for their wealth. The customized wealth management strategies he helps implement are aligned with clients' objectives, income requirements, risk tolerance, as well as their wishes to maintain their lifestyle in the next phase of their life. David earned a dual bachelor's degree in economics and business from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He is a specially qualified Senior Portfolio Advisor who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can draw from his experience to help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing custom investment strategies, selecting from a wide range of Merrill model portfolios and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the Firm's Investment Advisory Program, a Senior Portfolio Advisor may manage those strategies on a discretionary basis. CRPC and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor are registered service marks of the College for Financial Planning.
