Cindy Arocho is a generational change agent! She has found a convergence of all things she is great at and loves here at NM. She stands out to her clients as an advisor who has the best combination of head and heart . She was born in Puerto Rico and grew up most of her life in Jersey. She is a graduate of Princeton University and worked at Goldman Sachs & Co, one of the top investment banking firms in the world. In her three years at Goldman, Cindy stood out among her peers and was chosen by the Vice President to lead a new office team in India. Following her heart, she left Wall Street and spent three months sitting in the dirt with the street children of Mozambique, Africa. These children taught her Portuguese and, most of all, to see the world through new lenses. For the next year and a half, Cindy traveled the world taking teams of young adults with her. Cindy has traveled to more than 26 countries, and counting, around the world serving orphans, widows, local organizations, and schools. Cindy has partners with her local community with the following groups: - City of Virginia Beach 2040, Chair - The Libre Initiative - LEAD Hampton Roads - Princeton Alumni Executive Committee, Vice Chair - Women In Business, Honoree Through her efforts, the VB 2040 committee recently won Volunteer Group of the Year for the region. At Northwestern Mutual, she is already standing out among her peers. In her office, she has broken records. Within the her first year in the business, Cindy was recognized as one of the top 10 women in the South for new clients. In 2018, Cindy continued her top 10 spot for top female in the South. She is the first woman in Virginia to hold the title of Growth and Development Director. She is a Million Dollar Round Table qualifier and continues to lead the way for women in her industry. She currently loves working with those close to retirement, Princeton alumni, women in transition, and successful medical professionals.
