I grew up on our family farm where I learned to love a rural outdoor lifestyle. I could not imagine then, that 40 years later I would purchase the farm and move my family into the house my great, great, great grandfather built in the 1870s. My wife, Suzanne, a New York City girl, and our three daughters all enjoy country living. Oh, and we always have a Labrador retriever with us. The basic values learned at an early age of caring and responsibility led me to want to try to make a difference in the world. As such, I have served in leadership roles with the First Presbyterian Church of Mason, Boy Scouts of America, the Mason Public School Foundation, the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council, the Lansing Chapter of Safari Club International, Haslett-Okemos Rotary, and the Mildred B. Erickson Fellowship at Michigan State University.
