I had taught English as a second language for 12 years - both in private and public school settings. Other than teaching, I am well-versed in the field of Campus Journalism. I had coached winning contestants in Division, Regional, and National Schools Press Conference. I am a voracious reader. I love to read books and one of my favorite books is Harper Lee's To Kill a Mocking Bird, which talks about different issues in our society that we fail to address. Other than reading, I also write poetry and share them online. I have been a contributor to our province's website. I've written several articles such as news, commentary, and features. What most people say about me is that I show too much kindness to students and to people. They say that it is my weakness. However, I see it as a strength. I believe that when people are shown kindness and grace they respond well (or even at their best). Cliffton's Strength Finder: 1.
