In 1985, Brian began building an industry-wide reputation for guiding high-net-worth individuals, institutions and foundations in the areas of asset allocation and manager selection. Previous to joining Merrill Lynch in early 2014, Brian spent 24 years at Morgan Stanley where he was most recently Senior Portfolio Management Director with The Fenelon Group. Brian is a specially qualified Senior Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill Lynch model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. Senior Portfolio Managers are provided a high degree of flexibility in constructing portfolios and selecting securities. When servicing clients through the firm's Investment Advisory Program, a Senior Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. After meeting certain additional requirements, a Senior Portfolio Manager may use his own strategies to manage the assets of other Merrill Lynch Advisors' clients. Brian assists clients and Financial Advisors in implementing his investment process, known as the Tactical Allocation Strategy. Brian's ultimate goal is to help reduce risk and outperform the market over time. He began his career at Smith Barney in 1989 as a Senior Vice President of Investments and Financial Advisor. In 2014, Brian was named one of America's Top 1200 Financial Advisors* by Barron's Magazine for the sixth consecutive year.
