Ari Stern Weber is a Senior Vice President, Senior Portfolio Advisor, Senior Financial Advisor and Sports and Entertainment Advisor based out of The Boston Financial Center. Ari founded The Weber Group in 2013, and currently heads portfolio & investment management and wealth planning services for the team. While his client base is diverse, there is a particular concentration of Senior Financial Executives, Professional Athletes, Real Estate Professionals, C-Suite Executives and Business Founders. Prior to Merrill, he helped lead a capital markets division of a distressed real estate hedge fund, Ironwood Global, and held several positions in private equity, real estate, venture debt and investment banking. Ari is a member of the New England Advisor Growth Network and is involved in training and education for the Merrill Financial Advisor Development Program. He was also named to the 2018 Forbes "America's Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisor" list, the 2019 Forbes "Best-in-State Next-Generation Wealth Advisor" list and the 2021 Forbes "Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors" list. Academic work includes research on business ethics and pension asset management. He has co-authored a book published by Wiley and Sons, with his research focusing on outlining preemptive measures institutions, nations and municipalities need to take to avoid a demographic, productivity and liability-driven crisis. Ari graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A in Economics and Business, and from The Johnson School at Cornell University with an MBA in Portfolio Management. While at Cornell, Ari sat on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee of the Franziska Racker Centers for Autism. In his down time he enjoys reading, painting, playing guitar, golf and local volunteer work. Ari lives in Charlestown with his Golden Retriever Jersey Boy.
